Upholstery Services for W210 AMG models.

As our vehicles approach an average age of almost 25 years old, many of the most frequent touchpoints are showing significant signs of age. Some of the more common deterioration that I observe includes:

  • Steering wheel wear, particularly on the upper perforated sections as well as the seam between the solid and perforated sections

  • Rips, tears, and cracking of the seat leather, especially seat bottoms

  • Failure and breakdown of the seat pad along the left thigh area

  • Failure of the inflatable multicontour bladders for midsection and thigh support

  • Bleaching of the wood veneers surrounding the console and various switchgear

  • Gummy texture on all soft touch buttons for the radio and multifunction display

  • Bleaching of the fabric along the rear shelf and B-pillars

  • Breakdown of the rubber nib backing on floor mat sets

  • Failing headliner, particularly in the rear section forward of the C-Pillars

  • Separation of vinyl on front door-pulls

  • Broken sunvisor vanity mirrors

  • Yellowing of headliner grab-handles and sunroof shade grilles

All of the aforementioned items put a damper on the experience of an otherwise brilliant vehicle, and although many of the items listed are no longer available directly from Mercedes, they can still be renewed or refurbished. Over the coming months, I will begin introducing additional services to aid W210 AMG owners in the refurbishing of their interiors.
