When your Instrument Cluster needs more than just a refresh

On occasion, some instrument clusters will need more than the usual inspection, bulbs, and displays. Maybe you’ve observed your cluster working intermittently, gauges flashing or frozen, heat damage around the bezel, or the “display defective error.” These more advanced failure symptoms are unfortunately quite common across 1996-2002 E-Class and CLK models but they can be resolved.

I have added an advanced repair option to my repair service to cover all of these faults! Advanced repairs do require more diagnosis time and might include significant repairs to the circuit board, replacement of stepper motors, displays, capacitors, resistors, EEPROM swaps, etc. As a result they have a slightly longer turnaround time of 3-4 days in periods of higher service volume.
